Ñanduti Doily
This work of art by the Ñanduti (spiderweb) weavers of Paraguay measures 45 cm in diameter. It can be a beautiful table centre - or you may prefer to have it framed! The work is done by hand on to a cloth on a frame. When the work is complete the cloth is cut away and the piece is starched and ironed. The doilies come in various colours - some have a predominance of blue, some of orange, some of red. All are beautiful. This photo does not do justice to the delicacy of the work.
